Meeting Stiles: The limiting strength factor on most sliding doors will be the strength of the meeting stiles.

The tables below show how the strength of doors will change as the meeting stiles change.

Transoms: On frames fitted with overlights (transoms) the transom will in most cases be the weak link. Refer following page for transom options.
