| No Sill Alternative | |
Clear Opening: External or internal opening doors can be supplied with no extruded aluminium sill as detailed right. This gives a clean unobstructed floor access with the floor finish running through. But there are some things that should be considered: |

No sill unfortunately means no water resistance, we would not recommend this detail in exposed areas. |

The gap under the door will also allow in dust and insects, Consider fitting a Raven type door seal to close off this gap. Raven seals will not increase the water resistance. |
Water Resistance: External opening doors with no sill as detailed right have no water resistance. |
