Series 542 DStacker™ Sliding Door
Glazing Options
Series 542 door will accept a variety of glass thicknesses.
Standard single glazing:
4mm Toughened glass - used in small doors in low wind load areas.
5mm Toughened glass - the most common glass thickness used in most wind load areas.
6.38mm Laminated glass - Not as strong as toughened glass but has good security and UV transmission properties.
6.76mm Laminated glass - Similar to 6.38mm but with a 0.76mm thick membrane separating the glass.
7.52mm Laminated glass - Similar to 6.38mm but with a 1.52mm thick membrane separating the glass.
The alternative wide jaw stiles and rails will accept a variety of thicker glass types:
8.38mm Laminated glass - designed for very high wind load areas.
10.38mm Laminated glass - will give higher sound reduction than 6.38mm.
16mm Insulating Glass Unit - two sheets of 4mm toughened seperated by 8mm spacer -ideal for reducing thermal transmission.
