Transom Installation

Typically transoms are fitted to overhight doors.
One of the main features with bottom running bi-fold doors is the ability to fit transoms and highlights as shown right.
The hinghlights can be fixed lights, adjustable louvres or awning sashes. The awning highlight could be fitted with concealed electronic chain winders.
Flyscreening is possible on opening (louvre or awning) highlights

Strength

We offer four transom strengths as shown right. Contact your local Vantage fabricator for the right transom strength for your project. A guide to transom strength can be found in the Specifiers Manual.

Alternative Bi-fold Systems

If you are looking for very tall bi-fold doors that comply consider AWS Commercial bi-fold doors Series 410 or 411.
